How can you design a book cover for a book that has been critically aclaimed for over fifty years? how do you catch the attention of the reader? What can you do that hasnt been done before?

In my search to find a solution to these questions,

I remembered that we live in a world of excessive consumeres. That, and there are people with obsessions over everything. So instead of designing something that would speak to a new audience of readers, I designed a special edition release of 1984. For those who already understand the metaphors and layers George Orwell iterated in his novel, they would want to collect this.

This cover looks at the use of rats throughout the novel and the connections to the people who betray eachother in service of a higher power.
